Datuk Wong Sen Chiew, who owned Golden Nest Properties International (M) Bhd, admitted misleading the public to invest in a purported bird's nest cultivation scheme, which promised high returns.

He committed the offence at his office in Unit A-19-1, 1st floor, Block A, Jaya One Jalan Universiti, Petaling Jaya near here between Nov 28 and Oct 1, 2005.

Meanwhile, Wong, 56, also pleaded guilty to 28 counts of money-laundering involving RM975,580, with which he bought shares, cashed cheques and paid commissions.

The money-laundering was linked to the bird's nest investment scam.
